I’m excited about this year’s reading list and I’ve already stocked my library with all but seven of the books. Fiction and non-fiction are evenly balanced, unlike previous years, but so far I’ve been hitting non-fiction harder. I suspect that will change once I get to Wally Lamb, Ann Patchett, and a few of the thrillers.

I also have a few on the list that were chosen simply because I read other books in the series in previous years. Otherwise I might have skipped them. The Secret Life of Violet Grant is not an example of this – I loved A Hundred Summers and I’m excited to read the rest of the series.
